Oracle Cloud Contextual Journey..

Unlike Guided Journeys triggered by Action, Using Contextual Journeys you can configure tasks that need to be performed by different task performers before a HCM transaction. When a contextual journey displays, the user initiating the quick action can select a contextual journey and act on it. The contextual journey can't be edited or deleted.

When you initiate a quick action from Me, My Team, or My Client Groups based on the setup there might be contextual journeys to help you complete tasks before you actually perform a transaction. 

Sample User Case: 

Vanitha, an employee in XX Corp, wants to go on medical leave. Before applying for the absence, she needs to check leave status, When Vanitha selects the Add Absence quick action from the Me tab, the contextual journey will guide her to complete the required tasks before submitting absence details.


1.  Enable the Profile Value :   ORA_PER_CONTEXTUAL_JOURNEYS_ENABLED == ‘Y’

Oracle HCM Absence Orphan Records

Sometimes We come across a less known Error while submitting an Absence in Oracle Cloud HCM with an Error Code ANC-3405194 Likely caused when  Update of Accrual plan is done after an accrual process has already run till a date in future. OR  Entering accrual via HDL in a previous plan period and missing to run calculate accrual.
